  • If you want to upload your finished map, there are a few things you should always do before you upload it. This is a guide/compilation of tutorials on what you should do. This should work well for all modes, should you submit a MAP and not a GAME.

1. Make sure your map is good (duh!).

2. Cull down resources so that the map is smaller. Using_Cullart

3. Add a maptitle and author. How_to_add_map_title_and_author

4. Create a mapshot for your map.

    • To do so, use /hidehud 1, hide material volumes (done with the M keybind), and use F12 for a screenshot.
    • Rename the image as the name of your map.

5. Add the three (or four) files to a zip file.

    • The three (four) files should be mapname.ogz, mapname-art.cfg, mapname.jpg/.png, and mapname.cfg (if you used scripting).

6. Upload via an upload service, such as mediafire, dropbox, screencast or sendspace.
