I apologize that things have been quiet lately. We have been trying out a lot of different options and I really want to make sure we get the “base” set for how we move forward with Sandbox, both for the school edition and for the Steam version. Once we get that set, especially the scripting aspect there will be a lot more frequent updates. The scripting stuff is so important to set early on and get right because if we change after people have already made stuff it will screw everyone up so I rather get that taken care of first and then go from there. I hope everyone has been well and thank you for your support 🙂

Moddb Download Mirror Listed In Download Section
Dreamhost is still not letting us host our downloads for Sandbox so until that situation is remedied please use the Moddb Mirror listed in the download section to obtain the Sandbox files. I will be uploading 2.8.2 there this weekend! Sorry for an inconvienence.
Downloads Not Working
The Downloads are not working since as of today my webhost Dreamhost has decided that somehow those files are not related to the webpage and moved them off the server. If they don’t correct their error quickly I will be finding a new host. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope they remedy the situation quickly! Thanks and take care.

Pixelcrafters Platinum Arts Sandbox Game Maker Article!
A big thank you to the fine folks over at Pixelcrafters.net for the article about Platinum Arts Sandbox Game Maker! Here is a nice excerpt 🙂
“So what is Sandbox Gamemaker? It’s a fairly robust game creator along the lines of Project Spark, CraftStudio, and LittleBigPlanet. Sandbox is based on the open source Cube 2 Engine and can be used to make some pretty impressive levels right out of the box. I had a lot of fun just loading up some of the sample levels and playing around with them. The interface felt a little rough around the edges but once I found the list of keyboard shortcuts I found myself having a lot of fun just moving stuff around, playing with the terrain and changing textures.”
